DeFi, kurz für dezentrale Finanzen, stellt eine Verschiebung im Finanzsektor dar, indem es Blockchain-Technologie, hauptsächlich Ethereum, nutzt, um traditionelle Finanzintermediäre zu eliminieren. Es ermöglicht verschiedene Finanzanwendungen, von einfachen Transaktionen bis hin zu komplexen Verträgen, durch Smart Contracts, die automatisch unter bestimmten Bedingungen ausgeführt werden.
