Pat Toomey served as a Republican United States senator from Pennsylvania from 2011 to 2023, was ranking member of the Senate Banking Committee, and in 2022 introduced legislation [banking.senate.gov] to establish the first federal regulatory framework for payment stablecoins. He is an advisor to Paradigm and Coinbase.
