The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued its first NFT-related enforcement action, charging Los Angeles-based entertainment company Impact Theory on allegations the NFTs that were sold on the platform were actually unregistered securities. Hermine Wong, herminewong.xyz principal and former SEC Special Counsel, breaks down the SEC's argument and the potential outcomes.
