Ang Bangko Sentral ng Jamaica sa Pilot CBDC Simula sa Mayo

Pi-pilot ng Bank of Jamaica ang CBDC sa fintech regulatory sandbox nito mula Mayo hanggang Disyembre.

Pinaplano ng Bank of Jamaica (BoJ) na i-pilot ang central bank digital currency (CBDC) nito sa Mayo at nakikipagtulungan sa kumpanya ng Technology nakabase sa Ireland na eCurrency Mint para suportahan ang paglulunsad.

  • Ayon sa isang anunsyo ibinahagi noong Martes, sinabi ng BoJ na "pagkatapos ng isang malawak na proseso ng pagkuha" pinili nito ang eCurrency Mint upang suportahan ang pilot program nito.
  • Sa pagitan ng Mayo at katapusan ng Disyembre ngayong taon, ang Jamaican central bank ay magpi-pilot sa CBDC sa fintech regulatory sandbox ng bangko.
